Rihanna's 2nd Single Will Be "The Wait Is Ova"

Posted by Media Mogul On 7:04 AM

“The Wait Is Ova” has been confirmed as the official second single from Rihanna's upcoming fourth studio album, Rated R. The song which was featured in an exclusive promo prior to the release of the 1st single was produced by Mikkel Storleer Eriksen and Stargate. Mikkel revealed the song:

"will launch in a few weeks before the album release. It means a lot to us to be a part of a single-release in this format" [...] Mikkel says he is very pleased that Rihanna chose just 'Russian Roulette' as the first single. “Yes. We love the song. It was written by Ne-Yo, and we hope it can help pull up our song too [...] Our song is pretty atypical Rihanna and has a much harder sound than 'Russian Roulette.'"

It seems like with the mixed response regarding the first single, "Russian Roulette," Rihanna's team is keen on ensuring that they have their bases covered, just in case the risk they took in recording and releasing the controversial song doesn't pay off.
