The lambs are looking for a scapegoat after the poor performance of Mariah's latest solo CD, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. According to them, the album is a flop because of The Dream who helped write and produce the majority of the songs on the album. Well that didn't go over too well with The Dream at all. Check out his twitter response after the jump.

Despite the lackluster performance of her latest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, Mariah Carey will embark on a 19-city North American tour. The ‘Angels Advocate’ tour kicks off at the Borgata in Atlantic City after a performance on New Year's Eve at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Check out the full tour schedule after the jump.

In related news, the pop diva will also release two remix versions of her latest album. The first will contain R&B/Hip-Hop/Pop remixes, the second will contain dance remixes from Jump Smokers. Why she's re-releasing an album twice that flopped and died the week it hit the charts is beyond us. And "Angels Advocates" sounds like some charitable rescue mission, which we guess is fitting considering that's exactly what her new CD needs.

Lately, Mariah Carey has reportedly been displaying excessive diva behavior. Her outlandish demands on her promo tour for her new film, Precious, and her new album, Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel is causing quite the stir. Check out what MSNBC reports after the jump.

Mariah Carey is not without flaws, as evidenced by the title of her new album “Confessions of an Imperfect Angel,” but her behavior on her current publicity tour is calling into question the veracity of the angelic claim as well.

“Her security is doing walk-throughs of her performance locations prior to her appearances, as if she’s the president or something,” said one person who was present at one such sweep.

It's even more intense on the day of a Carey performance, says the source. “She’ll show up with more than a dozen people on her team, and she’s been asking that the people who actually work there are removed from the floor and only her staffers be present,” said the source, who adds that the demand is not always met.

The level of high maintenance Carey is displaying while promoting both “Imperfect Angel” and her new film, “Precious”, didn’t surprise one person, who has worked with Carey in the past.

“We were paying for her travel, her expenses, and yet she still wanted to be compensated nearly six figures just for hair and makeup,” said the source.

Barbra Streisand and Jay Sean Rule The Charts

Posted by Media Mogul On 5:02 AM 0 comments

1. Barbra Streisand "Love Is The Answer"

2. Paramore "Brand New Eyes"

3. Mariah Carey "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel"

4. Breaking Benjamin "Dear Agony"

5. Alice in Chains "Black Gives Way To Blue"

6. Jay-Z "The Blueprint 3"

7. Madonna "Celebration"

8. Miranda Lambert "Revolution"

9. Selena Gomez & The Scene "Kiss and Tell"

10. Pearl Jam "Backspacer"

We reported a few days ago that according to HITS Daily Double's closing numbers, Paramore had scored the top spot on Billboard with their new album, Brand New Eyes. However, once the final tallies came in the legendary Barbra Streisand was the one who claimed the top spot. Streisand edged past Paramore with 180,000 copies solidifying her spot as the female with the most #1 albums (9 total) in Billboard chart history. She is also the only artist to have a #1 album in five consecutive decades.

Brand New Eyes gives Paramore their best sales week and highest charting position ever. Mariah Carey rounded out the top 3 with 168,000 copies of her new studio album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Jay Sean, on the other hand, ends the Black Eyed Peas' record chart run with his debut single, "Down," featuring Lil Wayne.

Check out the remaining top 10 songs in the country after the jump.

1. Jay Sean "Down"

2. Miley Cyrus "Party In The U.S.A."

3. Jay-Z "Run This Town with Rihanna and Kanye West"

4. Jason DeRulo "Whatcha Say"

5. Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling"

H.A.T.E.U. [Remix]

H.A.T.E.U. [Original Version]

The official remix for Mariah Carey's new single, H.A.T.E.U., has surfaced. The song was produced by Jermaine Dupri and samples the Ghost Town DJ's 1996 hit "My Boo." It is assumed that this track will be included on the Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel remix album. Do you prefer the original version or the remix? Let us know what you think. Rock It or Stop It? You be the judge.

The numbers are in and Mimi's new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, not only missed the #1 spot but was edged out of the #2 spot by the legendary Barbra Streisand (Love is the Answer with 176,663 copies). According to HITS Daily Double, the singer's 12th studio album lands at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 172,742 copies. This comes as a shock to most fans especially considering the recent chart success of Carey's first official single, "Obsessed" and the heavy media blitz that was orchestrated to promote the album's release. Paramore clinches the #1 spot with 184,547 copies of their new album "Brand New Eyes."

So the pop diva supposedly moved her album to avoid Whitney Houston's release only to be bested by Paramore and Barbra Streisand? This is Mariah's worst first week since 2002's Charmbracelet. Despite Mariah's first week sales, plans for a remix album of Memoirs are still on track. Although details remain scant, it is rumored that Trey Songz will be featured on the remix to "Inseparable" and that the remix album will include two songs featuring collaborations with Timbaland and Jermaine Dupri that didn't make the final cut for Memoirs.

The Black Eyed Peas Are Tied With Mariah Carey

Posted by Media Mogul On 12:05 AM 0 comments

"With its 14th week at the summit of Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" matched Mariah Carey's 2005 hit "We Belong Together" for the longest No. 1 stay this decade.

The hip-hop band has now held firm at No. 1 for 26 straight weeks, with "Boom Boom Pow" preceding "Feeling" with a 12-week run, making the Peas the second act in the 51-year history of the Hot 100 to remain at No. 1 for half a calendar year or more. The other was Usher, who spent 28 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 in 2004 with four tracks."
