A Tuesday court ruling extended the pop star's much talked about co-conservatorship with her father, Jamie Spears. Get the full scoop after the jump.

It was an expensive day in court Tuesday for Britney Spears. In a Los Angeles courtroom Commissioner Reva Goetz ordered the co-conservatorship of Britney Spears to continue, with her father, Jamie Spears, to continue to receive $16k a month for his duties as conservator of his daughter.

Goetz also ordered the co-conservator of Britney, Andrew Wallet, to be paid $174,569.10 for services rendered from July 2009-November 2009.

In addition Goetz ordered Jamie's attorneys to be paid $183,918 and attorney Joel Boxer to be paid $62,965.06. Another law firm was ordered to be paid $50k. Jamie Spears was also allowed to continue to receive $1200 for office space.

Samuel Ingham, the court appointed attorney for Britney Spears, said in court that, "She [Britney] accepted the accounting as filed and had no objection to it."

Other housekeeping issues concerned continuing to seal all medical and certain business transactions because of "trade secrets" and the commissioner also increased the bond for the conservatorship from $1 million dollars to $25 million. Bond is similar to insurance in conservatorship cases, so if anything were to happen to Britney's money she would be covered and reimbursed.

The next court hearing is scheduled for January 14th. Fees for Laura Wasser, Brit's legal ace divorce attorney will be dealt with at that time. (Source: Radar Online)

Posted by Media Mogul On 7:10 AM 0 comments

"The stars are queueing up to sing along with Michael Jackson - from beyond the grave.

Madonna, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake are eager to sing with him on an album set to top the charts worldwide.

Existing recordings of hits such as Bille Jean and Beat It will be reworked so the stars can sing "duets" with Jacko.

The album, in aid of a new charity being set up in Jacko's name, is being masterminded by music producer Mike Blakey.

He said: 'There are going to be be some big surprises both in the tracks used and who is involved.'" (Source: Mirror)

Britney Spears Is Back On Top. "3" Debuts at #1

Posted by Media Mogul On 8:10 AM 0 comments

"Britney Spears becomes the first artist in over three years to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (Oct. 15), as "3" opens at the pinnacle of the chart. Her new track, a racy paean to the joys of three-way sex from the upcoming hits set "The Singles Collection," due Nov. 24, shifts 255,000 downloads in its first week of release, also propelling it to No. 1 on Digital Songs." (Source: Billboard)

Spears is the first non-American idol to debut atop the Hot 100 in almost 11 years. The last song to do so was Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)" on November 14, 1998. This is Spears' 3rd #1 on the Hot 100. Her debut single, "...Baby One More Time" spent two weeks in the top spot back in 1999 and a year ago "Womanizer" spent 1 week at #1. Congratz to Ms. Spears. We're happy she got herself together and made a successful comeback. You can take a listen to the song right here @ MishmashD and get full album details for The Singles Collection here. In the meantime, check out some exclusive photos from the music video shoot of the single.

Britney Spears - "3"
