"Britney Spears becomes the first artist in over three years to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (Oct. 15), as "3" opens at the pinnacle of the chart. Her new track, a racy paean to the joys of three-way sex from the upcoming hits set "The Singles Collection," due Nov. 24, shifts 255,000 downloads in its first week of release, also propelling it to No. 1 on Digital Songs." Spears is the first non-American idol to debut atop the Hot 100 in almost 11 years. The last song to do so was Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)" on November 14, 1998. This is Spears' 3rd #1 on the Hot 100. Her debut single, "...Baby One More Time" spent two weeks in the top spot back in 1999 and a year ago "Womanizer" spent 1 week at #1. Congratz to Ms. Spears. We're happy she got herself together and made a successful comeback. You can take a listen to the song right here @ MishmashD and get full album details for The Singles Collection here. In the meantime, check out some exclusive photos from the music video shoot of the single.
