Nick Jonas Is Going Solo

Rumors that Nick Jonas will be releasing a solo album have been confirmed by none other than the mother of the Jonas Brothers, Denise Jonas. Check out what she revealed to Parade after the jump.

“Nick is working on a solo act--it's called Nick Jonas and The Administration. Shhh! He's at the photo shoot for the album cover right now,"
Reportedly, this is just a side project for Nick and will not see the break up of the boy band. According to their website "The Jonas Brothers are NOT breaking up! [...] We are ALL excited about this project AND what we are doing TOGETHER [...] We plan to make music together for as long as we can."

The album is slated to be released some time next year. In addition, the Jonas Brothers are also planning another world tour for next summer. The real question is, if this turns out to be a Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce type breakout for Nick, will the group really survive? Only time will tell.
