Mariah Looks Like a Vision From the Past in Vegas [Audio Snippets Inside]

Last night in Vegas Mariah Carey, with her early 90s perm, sported tight-ringed curls reminiscent of her Vision of Love days. The occasion? Ms. Carey-Cannon kicked off the first of four performances at the Pearl Theatre at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The remaining concerts are scheduled for September 12th, October 9th and October 10th.

The diva's set featured past hits such as "Always Be My Baby" and "Honey" as well as newer tunes including several songs from her upcoming CD, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. Check out more photos after the jump as well as the fan-recorded audio of her performance of "Angels Cry" and "Up Out of My Face" from her upcoming LP. There is controversy over whether the pop diva used pre-recorded vocals or actually sung the songs live but you can judge for yourself. In related news Mariah's single, "Obsessed," finally cracked the Top 10 this week on the Billboard Hot 100.
