John Mayer debuted the lead single, "Who Says," from his upcoming album, "Battle Studies," via his official website. Mayer who reportedly smoked his way through a Rolling Stone interview in 2006 seems to reference his stance on pot with the line "Who says I can't get stoned?" Speaking on the controversial lyric Mayer told Rolling Stone:
"When I sing it, I do not think about marijuana — I think about walking around your house naked with a guitar. It’s about being in control of the pleasure in your life."
The video for the single has been filmed even though no details or release date have been revealed. The album hits stores on November 17th.
