Tao Okamoto's November 2009 appearance on the cover of Vogue Nippon is a career defining moment that is sure to propel the model to stratospheric heights. In the Tao Special issue of the magazine, Okamoto joins the small, elite number of models to have an entire issue of Vogue feature them. She is the first Asian to be bestowed with such an honor. Making the moment even more special, Okamoto is the first Japanese model to grace the cover of the magazine in almost 10 years. The editorials are shot by a plethora of photographers including: Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Glen Luchford, Daniel Jackson, Mark Segal and Solve Sundsbo.
