Last night Chris Brown gave his first interview since his assault on Rihanna back in February. Chris Brown, in his Mr. Rogers sweater and Pee Wee Herman bow-tie, dodged questions and did little to help his image last night. It seems like the consensus is that the interview made him look inarticulate and unwilling to man up. His lawyer and mother sat by his side and intervened throughout the interview. Chris mostly filled the interviews with phrases such as "like...wow" to express his shock at his behavior, "natural fans" to describe his loyal supporters and Romeo and Juliet comparisons to describe the dynamic of his relationship with Rihanna after the incident.

Larry King really held no bars. But Chris evaded questions like his life depended on it. They sort of talked about Chris growing up witnessing his mother suffer from domestic abuse. His mother denied that Chris has ever displayed a proclivity for violent behavior which seems like Grade A bullcrap. A kid doesn't spend 19 years of his life being a boy scout and then suddenly beat his girlfriend until her face is unrecognizable. But we digress.

Larry attempted to get to the heart of what led up to the event and failed. He tried to get to the heart of what prompted Brown to lose control and failed. He tried to get to the heart of what transpired between the two after the event and failed. And when Larry King revealed the picture of Rihanna's battered face Chris Brown didn't even so much as flinch. As it became increasingly apparent that Chris wasn't really going to talk about anything viewers began to wonder what the purpose of the interview was. He even compared himself to Michael Jackson. However, lets not forget Michael was exonerated while Chris was found GUILTY! This came across more as a last ditch effort to sabotage Chris' career as he made the first stop on his "I'm Sorry.
