"Gaga says they will use a new stage that stretches from one side of the arena to the other - "imagine an in-the-round experience, but larger," Gaga said. We're excited for this concert. Kanye alone is a very charismatic performance who always finds a way to deliver an electrifying, out-of-the box experience for fans. Lady Gaga is also very good at commanding the stage and pushing the envelope. Sounds like a hit if people are willing to forgive him for the Taylor Swift fiasco.
While she was typically coy about revealing too many details about the tour, she did say that she and West would 'spend a lot of time onstage together.'
Gaga also provided a look inside the notion behind the show - and, for fans of the flamboyantly bizarre singer, the high-concept show sounds as though it will be unlikely to disappoint.
'The storyline is that Kanye is on one end of the stage and I'm on the other, and the whole show, we are trying to get to where each other is,' she said. 'I want something that he has, which is the fame, and he wants something that I have, which is home, and my humble beginnings. So we battle each other throughout the entire performance to steal each other's spaces.'
'So I'm essentially on a quest to kill Kanye West to steal his fame.'" (Source: The Canadian Press)
"Noting that the District is the "epicenter" of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the United States, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation opened a free treatment clinic Thursday in the 2100 block of K Street, at the gateway to Georgetown. The Hollywood actor attended the opening of the clinic last week. The center's official name is the AHF Blair Underwood Healthcare Center. Major kudos to Mr. Underwood. You know we at MDM are fans of celebrities using their star power to support good causes.
The city's infection rate, 3 percent, is the nation's worst, according to a study this year by its HIV/AIDS Administration. And the foundation, which calls itself the country's largest nonprofit HIV/AIDS health-care provider, came to the District because of its status as the "epicenter" of the disease, said its director, Michael Weinstein [...] its infection rate is higher than that of Lagos, Nigeria.
Underwood, who is widely known in the black community, said he lent star power to the clinic to draw clients. On a billboard promoting AIDS awareness in Los Angeles, where the foundation is headquartered, Underwood implores viewers to "Man Up" and get tested for free.
"I need to talk to those men who are out there dating women who think this doesn't concern them," Underwood said. "It does."
Underwood's participation is a key to the clinic's success, Weinstein said. "There are not that many people of his stature who are willing to put their face out there and their name out there for this issue," he said.
Lewis said he supported the clinic's opening because "we must find a way to say to all our citizens, especially our young people . . . that we must do what we can to control the spread of this disease." (Source: Washington Post)

Britney Spears - "3"
Britney's new single, "3," debuted this morning on Z100. The song's racy lyrics are a reference to group sex, particularly a threesome. We are loving the song which will be featured on Spears' The Singles Collection. The CD will hit stores on November 24th.
"R&B singer LLOYD has cut ties with his high school pal CIARA because he's convinced finding fame has changed her for the worst.Bow Wow seems to concur:
The star befriended the Goodies hitmaker when they were both teenagers living in Atlanta, Georgia but Lloyd admits he has since lost touch with Ciara, hinting her ego has gotten the better of her.
Lloyd tells Hip Hop Weekly, "I don't f**k with Hollywood b**ches and she's like one of the chicks that's just changed along the way with the fame and the money and all of that.
"I don't really get down with her anymore on some real s**t. The truth hurts, but it will set you free. But I wish her all the best." (Source: Contactmusic)
Sad. Ciara seems more like the humble, down-to-earth girl next door. Reportedly this is part of the reason why her and her former manager parted ways.
Lil Wayne will appear on Weezer's upcoming, seventh studio album, Raditude. The song, "Can't Stop Partying," was written by the band's frontman Rivers Cuomo who enlisted the help of Jermaine Dupri. Lil Wayne will provide a verse for the song. According to Cuomo:
"It was a real challenge for me, taking his [Dupri's] ideas, which are very slick, R&B party [ideas], and giving it some kind of edge, some darkness, making it work with rock, making it work with Weezer. This isn't Lil Wayne's first foray into rock. He has previously collaborated with Fall Out Boy and his next album, Rebirth, is a fusion of rap and rock, granted it doesn't get pushed back again. Raditude hits stores on November 3rd while Rebirth is slated to hit stores on November 24th.
"Not only that, but we got Lil Wayne to come in and do a rap on it," he continued. "Any other rapper would've just done, 'Yay, we're partying! Let's drink and have fun,' but he gave it the edge I was looking for. You can hear in his voice, it sounds so dark, like he was gonna get shot or something when he walks out of the studio. So I was real happy that everyone involved got what we were going for." (Source: MTV)

"Billboard announced today pop sensation Lady GaGa will be named its "Rising Star" at the 2009 Billboard Women In Music event, taking place on Oct. 2nd in New York City. The Billboard Rising Star Award rewards artists that have achieved a level of success and proven to have vast potential in the early stages of their career.
Lady GaGa is the undisputed break-out star of the year for many reasons, including the success of her debut album, "The Fame" (Streamline Records), which has spawned four Billboard Hot 100 hit singles like "Just Dance" and "Poker Face," both which reached No. 1 on the tally. "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" are also the Nos. 2 and 8 best-selling digital songs of all time, with 4.6 million and 4 million downloads, respectively.
GaGa recently became the third artist in the history of the Mainstream Top 40 Airplay chart to have three No. 1 singles from a debut album. "The Fame" is also the best-selling album from a debut artist for 2009, with 1,441,000 copies sold in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In addition to writing all the tracks on her album, Lady GaGa has previously written for Britney Spears, the Pussycat Dolls, and New Kids on the Block.
"Lady GaGa is one of those rare examples of a truly unique artist with mass appeal," says Bill Werde, Editorial Director of Billboard. "She has established herself as one of today's top songwriters, and the whole world is waiting to see what her next outrageous but brilliant move or style will be. It is that ongoing anticipation, combined with her success that makes her a rising star."
The Billboard Women in Music Event celebrates the most powerful and talented women in the music business, and is held in conjunction with the much-anticipated publication of Billboard's Women In Music Power Players List – recognizing the top female music executives who are leading the industry with their artistic and business vision.
Billboard will also honor Grammy Award-winning artist and pop culture icon Beyoncé with the coveted Billboard Woman of The Year Award at the event." (Source: Billboard)
"Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and his songwriting partner The-Dream have been secretly spending the summer in the studio producing the entire follow-up to Ciara’s Fantasy Ride. Stewart broke the news to Rap-Up.com in an exclusive interview. “We’re doing the whole project,” he reveals. “We’re pretty good into it at this point. We’re about 14 songs deep right now.”Well the Dream and Tricky are producing yet another album. We love the producer duo but the market is over saturated with material from them. Considering Ciara's last album vastly underperformed according to expectations, relying solely on one producer for the entire album with the only features being from that producer is risky. Unless The Dream and Tricky come from completely left field this could backfire in a major way. I'm assuming they're hoping they can work some of the same magic for Ciara that they did for Rihanna ("Umbrella") and Beyonce ("Single Ladies"). Of course we'll reserve forming any definitive opinions until we hear some material.
“She came out to L.A. to work with us. We’re out here making this record ’cause it feels good and the vibe is good,” says the Grammy-winning producer.
The as-yet-untitled effort will feature danceable tracks that have become Ciara’s signature. “This record obviously is gonna have tempo to it, but I think it’s gonna have even more substance than the last record,” Tricky discloses. “She dances and we always want to bring out what she does that other people don’t.”
Although Fantasy Ride boasted collaborations with a who’s who of the industry including Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, and Ludacris, the “Love Sex Magic” singer will be riding solo this time. “This album we wanted to take a few steps back and make it more about her, so the only feature is Dream. But the features that we do on this record will be remixes.”
The hitmaker even shared a couple song titles with Rap-Up.com. “I love ‘Speechless.’ I love this record called ‘Gifted.’ Those are two of my favorites. ‘Speechless’ is therecord with her and Dream together.”
While there’s still the possibility of a release by the end of the year, it’s looking like 2010 will mark Super C’s return. “It’s a little up in the air, but there’s a chance that it might come this year. That was the goal, but at the same time, we didn’t want to rush anything. I think it’s looking more like a next year thing.”
Ciara is pulling out all the stops to make this her bestwork yet. “Right now, she’s on her grind, coming back, trying to make a better album than she made last time and get back to that mark where everybody knew that she was in the top tier of the female business." (Source: Ultimate-Ciara)
The three R&B divas have come together to form a supergroup called, "The Queen Project." The ladies gave an interview to promote the project and give anticipating fans a sneak peak of their 1st single, "Queen" produced by Shep Crawford. That's a whole lot of vocal prowess on one album. Geesh! In addition to future tour plans the group's union also has a humanitarian component to it. Check out the full interview below.

Last week Tyson Beckford appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens when a caller phoned in to ask if he had to spend the night with a man who would it be and why. Watch his response below.
"Yesterday, Sessilee Lopez, who frequently Twittered, announced on the site, "sorry twitter but this is my very last tweet ... we had some good times and bad but now our relationship is over ... "; she's now deleted her account entirely. Many were left wondering why, but some now think that it may have to do with Chanel Iman.
Two days ago, Grazia reported from London Fashion Week, "Sessilee Lopez throwing a tantrum at Jeremy Scott and Nathan Jenden. 'No pictures please' but lots of tears and chair throwing! Not pretty." Later, they changed it out to read, "A certain model throwing . . ." Chanel Iman was backstage at Nathan Jenden, but was not at Jeremy Scott.
Back in April, when Sessilee, Jourdan Dunn, Arlenis Sosa Pena, and Chanel Iman were in London to shoot their cover for i-D, Sessilee Twittered, "The trinity was united again!!! Arlenis, Jourdan, and I at benihana's so much fun!! Pics coming soon via Arlenis camera haha I love my girls," noticeably leaving out Chanel Iman. While in London, she also posted on her Twitter thoughts like, "I am over the b.s," "I feel like a fool and it hurts so bad," and "Blah blah blah blah sounds good but I'm over it."
Here's the kicker — earlier today, Sessilee's mother and manager Janice Celeste Twittered at Chanel Iman: "u shouldn't try to sabotage the other black models. It's bad karma. Don't b friends only in front of the cameras." She has since taken the post down, but a screen capture can be seen here. Later, she added in another Tweet: "1 thing about me is I don't lie/make things up. What's right is right & what's wrong is..." (Source: Fashionologie)
