The incomparable Whitney Houston, the comeback queen, officially kicked off her world tour in Moscow at the Olympic Stadium on December 9th. The diva's performance albeit, not perfect, showed glimpses of brilliance from her past. The flaws in the performance, however, are not cringeworthy. They are more or less beautiful reminders of the struggle she has endured as well as indicators of continued vocal improvement as Ms. Houston continues to reclaim her chops. Check out clips from the concert after the jump including a very touching and celebratory tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. If you still think Whitney's voice is gone after listening to these clips please do yourself a favor and have someone purchase you a hearing aid for Christmas.

We thought Mya had this one in the bag but congratz to Donny.

Whitney Houston continues her European promo tour for, I Look To You. She stopped by the Italian version of X-Factor to perform her new single, "Million Dollar Bill." Not only does she look absolutely stunning but she sounds AMAZING! Ms. Houston is back ya'll and she keeps getting better and better with every live performance. To those of you who doubted, eat your hearts out. THE VOICE IS BACK!

Check out Whitney's live X-Factor performance from last night. A great vocal showing. Minus the wardrobe malfunction, which wasn't her fault, this performance was among the best from this era. Despite probably being scared that she was going to have a Janet Jackson Superbowl moment at any second, she still managed to maintain her composure and showmanship.

She's definitely getting her chops back. To all the haters:
There´ve been haters since this world been going ´round
(nothin but love, nothin but love)
Why they take a thing and trying to crush them down
(nothin but love, nothin but love)
I ain´t even trying to hold on to that now
(nothin but love, nothin but love)
Ain´t got nothin but love for you
(nothin but love, nothin but love)

-Whitney Houston "Nothin But Love"

*Resumes Playing "Million Dollar Bill"*

Pop diva Whitney Houston is to play her first ever Newcastle show, we can reveal today.

The chart-topping superstar will appear at the Metro Radio Arena on April 22 next year, with tickets on sale from Friday.

The gig is a coup for the Toon, with only four other cities being included on the singer's British tour.

The dates will mark Houston's first live performances in this country in over a decade, and follow years of turmoil in her personal life.

Houston has battled against drugs and booze and will make her first UK TV appearance in 12 years on the X Factor this weekend.

"This is my first full tour since the My Love Is Your Love tour and I am so excited to be performing for my fans around the world after all this time," she said.

"I am putting together a great show and cannot wait to perform the songs from my new album I Look To You along with some of your favourites."

Today's announcement comes a week before she releases her long-awaited new album, I Look To You.

Her European tour will see her perform in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium as well as the UK.

In the 25 years since she recorded her history-making debut album, Whitney Houston has become something of an icon.

One of the best-selling female artists of all time, she has sold over 140 million albums worldwide and is the most awarded female artist in history - with 411 gongs to her name.

Her longtime producer Clive Davis encouraged her to hit the comeback trail after more than a decade away form the business.

Houston will also play Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and London as well as Newcastle on the UK leg of the tour.

Ms. Houston appeared on the popular French show "Le Grand Journal," looking absolutely flawless, to perform her new single, "Million Dollar Bill." There were some obvious sound problems with Whitney's mic but the singer still maintained her poise and showmanship to pull off another solid performance. Between straining to hear herself and trying to sing overtop of 3 background vocalists we give her credit for pulling this performance off.

The a capella rendition of "I Look To You" showed the singer in top form. And the highlight of the interview is when she corrects one of the interviewers for referring to her as "The Princess of R&B." Apparently he must have thought Ashanti was in the building. However, Ms. Houston quickly set the record straight. We love how diva she is. Even the ever stoic, fashion maven Karl Lagerfeld had to crack a smile and clap.

Smashing!!! This was an amazing performance. She is really showing the world that she still has it. This proves that the GMA concert was the fluke and not the Oprah performance. MDM approved! Check out the interview after the jump.

Whitney Houston covers the recent issue of Jet. She looks absolutely radiant. Make sure you pick up the mag along with a copy of the singer's new critically-acclaimed CD, I Look To You. In the meantime check out her latest music video for her new single, "Million Dollar Bill."

Diddy covers the November issue of "Ebony." Diddy, who recently announced he will be leaving WMG, is really on his promotional hustle as he gears up for the release of his fifth studio album, Last Train to Paris. Check out the music video for the first single, "Angels," featuring the late Notorious B.I.G.

Whitney phoned into the Ed Lover Show on Monday morning for a candid radio interview. She talks about her plans to tour, her favorite food spot in Jersey, and her favorite current artists. Check out the full interview below.

We love that she listens to Lil Wayne. Can't you just see her swinging her wig in a feverish 360 like in the "If I Told You That" music video while rapping "A Milli" with random melodic interspersions of "ooo" and "aaahh." Haha. Get it Nippy!

We at MDM are not amused.
